{place} THE MONET IN ME

My husband and I just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in Asheville, North Carolina at the Biltmore.  There’s no way to take a bad photo on the grounds of Biltmore Estates!  This gorgeous scene is in the Italian Gardens on the property.  Breathtakingly stunning.  My photo cannot convey the real beauty of this pond.  Definitely go see for yourself.

The lily pads below were a most beautiful copper color.  And koi were playfully swimming all through them.

It’s hard to tell, but this koi must have been about 18 inches long!   His colors look a bit dull in that water, but when he came up for air he was the most gorgeous orange.

This was the most unusual lily pad I’ve ever seen . . . and I’m just assuming it is a lily pad!  They were huge.

The floating glass balls in this water-garden planter added a real vibrant punch of blue  color to the green and terra cotta shades.

If you ever get the opportunity to tour the Biltmore Estates, do . . . and take your camera.  You’ll find the Monet in yourself and come home with some really great photos of God’s creation.  I promise!
