{newborn} ELIZA

This little one is a sweetheart! Having worked with this family previously, it was fun to photograph their newest addition to the family. She was sleepy and cuddly almost her entire session… which made the time fly by. Before we knew it, several hours had passed! I happily present to you darling little Eliza!

I hope that when Eliza grows up she will treasure the next few images of her with her mom. The loving bond between a mother and child. Who can explain it? I can’t. But I’m certainly thankful God blesses us moms with such.

Baby Eliza, I look forward to watching you grow up to know and serve the Lord because I know your parents and grandparents will be faithfully teaching you about your Creator.  You are blessed!

{newborn} CAMILLE

I recently had the honor of photographing sweet little Camille just a few days after she was born!  Her mom asked me to come take a few shots while they were still in the hospital.  A few days after they were settled at home, I went over for some lifestyle photography to capture their first days as a new family.  As expected with one so young, she slept through most of the session.  Sleepy newborns make for great sessions!  My posing and flashing camera didn’t bother her one bit.  Camille is several months old now and I am enjoying watching her grow up via all the snapshots her mom sends me.  Before too long, baby Camille will be walking around all on her own.  Quite the accomplishment for one who just a few months ago couldn’t even lift her head.  Best part, she is a smiler!  She is a happy baby.  A nice gift to mom and dad!  And as the marker board in her room declares, she is a perfect gift from up above!

{baby} ELLA JANE

Okay, for the record, Ella is my great-niece.  But let me just tell you, family or not, she has the most beautiful skin I have ever seen!  I was really excited when her mom asked me to take some photos of her at the Neshoba County Fair.  While I was busy behind the camera, Ella kept her mom and dad hoppin’.  She had no intention of being still for photos!  That pretty white dress didn’t stop her from getting where she wanted to go . . . she just powered through.  Too cute!

We did the entire photo session at my sister-in-law’s Fair cabin.  She has some really great chairs that work beautifully in photographs. I brought a teddy bear from home in case I needed something to capture Ella’s attention.  It captured her attention alright!  So much so, she climbed in the chair and nearly fell asleep.

But those moments of stillness were short-lived.  The stairs were calling.  Is there a crawler out there who doesn’t love to climb stairs?  And just look at that precious face!  No wonder she already has her daddy wrapped around her little finger!!

Whenever I look at this next photo, I half-expect to hear a choir of angels singing.  Seriously.  Every time.  LOL. Her daddy was talking to her.  What’s not to love?!  Love the little curl down by her ear.  Sweet.

For a few brief moments Ella looked at a book about colors.  That allowed me to get these sweet shots of her little hands and feet.  Great photos don’t have to be of a smiling face!  These are two of my favorites from the series.  They would look fabulous in a nursery.

It didn’t take long for her to get bored with the book and the stairs.  She was ready for more crawling and exploring.  First stop was a nearby bucket of toys.  Didn’t take long for her to find her favorite one!

I’m looking forward to taking more photos of Ella as we watch her grow.  She is blessed with the sweetest disposition.  All you have to do is look at her and she smiles.  Can’t beat that!

{baby} ELLA JANE

These sweet hands and feet belong to my niece’s daughter, Ella Jane.  Aren’t they precious?  Sweet Ella and I (with her mom and dad’s help!) had a fun photo shoot this year at the Neshoba County Fair.  Thanks, Mandi, for asking me to photograph your daughter for you!

{baby} SCOTT

Baby Scott was my first baby session!  Photographing him was very sweet because early in the pregnancy he threatened to deliver and his mommy had to work really hard to keep him from being born extremely premature.  How thankful we are for God’s blessings to this family!  And even though he was having a tough day with his little tummy, we somehow managed to get some really precious shots of him that I hope the family will cherish.  He is a beautiful baby with long lashes and the prettiest little lips ever.  He looks so comfy and cozy all snuggled up in his blankets.  Thanks, Kristin and Nick, for inviting me to your home to capture some of the first days of your newborn’s life.
